At Custom Security Systems, we’re always evaluating new OpenEye capabilities so we can bring the most useful tools straight to our customers. The latest is AI Visual Check, a new addition to the OWS AI Analytics suite, and we can now enable it for any customer running an OWS Plus account.
Where AI Visual Search — a capability we already offer — helps someone find a specific moment in recorded footage, AI Visual Check works differently: it automates the ongoing monitoring of business operations, safety protocols, and compliance across multiple locations, and sends a proactive alert the moment something looks wrong — a blocked fire exit, an empty shelf, an unattended security post — without anyone needing to review the footage themselves.
Why It Matters
Most businesses rely on manual walkthroughs to catch these kinds of issues, which means problems can go unnoticed for hours between checks. AI Visual Check flips that model: instead of a person periodically checking whether a condition is being met, the camera itself continuously verifies it and only surfaces an alert when something needs attention. That’s the kind of tool we like putting in front of our customers — it removes routine, low-value labor from a team’s day and shortens the time between a problem occurring and someone actually knowing about it.
Where We’d Recommend It
Since it’s launching as a preview feature for Plus license customers, we’d point this at any customer already running OWS Plus who wants an early look at automated compliance monitoring — multi-location retail, restaurants, and any commercial site where fire exits, stocking, or staffed posts need to be checked regularly. Aggregating check results over time can also help identify recurring issues a single walkthrough would never catch.
